About Me

I am a 30-something wife and mother.  I have 2 beautiful little girls.  I stay at home full-time with them, but work part-time from my home to support my husband who is currently in school.  I am busy, busy, busy and I love my life!

A while back, I asked my followers to ask me their burning questions about me.  Here are my answers:

From Goatstew: (she is an old friend of mine!  Hi, Jordon!)
What is your favorite flavor of Jelly Bean?
Sorry, but I never really liked jelly beans.  I can tolerate a Jelly Belly now and then...Do they have a watermelon flavor?  If so, that is probably my favorite.  Or maybe Pineapple.

Who was your first celebrity crush?
According to my mother (and I believe her) I fell in love with Popeye when I was 3 or 4.  So, I guess that would be Robin Williams...only as Popeye.  Here is a link to one of my favorite scenes from the movie.

What was the first CD you owned?
Sweet Dreams by La Bouche.  I was in junior high.  What can I say?  I loved dance music.

Who was your first best friend?
Aside from my sister, Erin, I'd have to say a girl named Julie.  Unfortunately, I moved away when we were 6 and I only hear from her and her family occasionally.  I have to throw in credit for my next best friend, Coralie, who now holds the position of my longest friend.  (I'd call her my oldest friend, but she's not old...neither am I.)

Where is your favorite place you ever visited?
The first place that comes to my mind is Yellowstone National Park.  My family went there every summer for years.  I love it there.
I've been to a lot of other places, though, that I love.  I have a hard time picking favorites, can you tell?  Here are my runners up:  Walt Disney World; Disneyland; Rock Springs, Wyoming (another family vacation); Salt Lake City; San Diego.

Where do you want to go more than any place in the world?
Once again, there is more than one:  Europe, Australia, a roller coaster tour, Italy, Hawaii...I want to do some traveling.

If you had to pick a last meal, what would it include?
Scones, pork chops, onion rings, salad (fully loaded), and a great big piece of chocolate cake with sprinkles.

What is your favorite fashion foe-pa (how do you spell that word anyway)?
Faux pa.  =)  I am not a very fashion-oriented kind of person.  And, I'm not sure if you mean my favorite faux pa to make or to avoid.  =)  So...I'll say my favorite fashion mistake to make is wearing white after Labor Day.  I love white and I'll wear it when I want to.  My favorite mistake to spot:  Socks with sandals.

Do you like the toilet paper under or over?
I don't really pay attention to it.  I'll take it how it's dealt.  But, I do notice that my husband likes it a particular way.  I can never remember which way he likes it, but I almost always notice when he changes it.  Sometimes I change it back...just to mess with him a little.  =)

Are you a dog person or a cat person?
Most definitely, I am a dog person.  Cats are okay, but I am terribly allergic to them.  Like, my airways tighten up, my nose plugs up, my eyes swell up and water, and, if I don't have an inhaler close by, I will most likely have to go to a doctor for a nebulizer treatment.  So, I'll stick with dogs.

If you ever have a boy, what names will you absolutely NOT name him?
Hmmm...I haven't thought much about boy names.  I like Linus, but the Mister doesn't, so I'll probably never get that one.

What musical do you constantly play out by yourself in the shower, etc., (c'mon Sarah, you know you do)?
Oh, Jordon, you know I do!  I have lots and lots of favorite musicals that run through my head.  And, they pop out not only in the shower, but also in the kitchen while I'm cooking, in the living room, the dining room, at the sewing machine...whenever the mood strikes!  Wicked, Into the Woods, Sound of Music (The Lonely Goatherd...I love that one!), Suessical, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Oklahoma, The Music Man, Cinderella...just to name a few.

If you could pick any actress to play you in a movie about your life, who would you pick?
Um, I don't know that I would want anyone else to play me.  I want to do it myself!  If they couldn't afford me, though, I guess I could settle for Natalie Portman or Amy Adams.

And who would play your husband?
Well, if he couldn't do it, the only one I can think of that could come kind of close would be Hugh Jackman...maybe Matt Damon.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and what would you want to do?

From Amber-girl (she was my sister's friend first, but now she's mine too!  Lucky!)
I love to be inspired by others.  What things do you do to inspire others?
What kind of daily routine do you have for you and your kids?  Do you have a weekly routine for getting housework and other things done?

You and your sisters have such a great relationship with each other and with your mom.  What did you all grow up doing and what do you do now that has developed that relationship?
